Really need a doe in milk

if anyone of my local and semi local goat peeps have any leads let me know. We found out after our does are all almost completely dry that my baby baby cant handle cows milk as a total replacement of milk. I dont need another doe but gotta get one.Life, aint it got a since of humor.. 23 goats and I HAVE to buy another.

There was an ad for a nice Decimal Place bred Saanen doe in milk on Craigslist. But wouldn't you know, the ad is gone now.

Let me talk to DH. We have two in milk. They're ND's. One is Butterscotch that we bought from you. The other is Taffy, which we also bought from you. I won't sell either of them, but will see if DH would be willing to loan one to you, if you're interested.

I sorta know what you are going through. When we had a doe in milk I couldn't give the milk away now I have at least an email every couple days asking to buy milk. Hope you find a good milker soon.

Did you contact montage farms. I know it's not her normal selling season, but you don't know until you ask.

Just looked, she has two does for sale on her site. I hope you find something quick!

I looked on montage in the first day and just again and cant see anything for sale but a buck??

Sonshine, I need at min. a half a gallon a day are they producing that much between them? I cant remember who was out of who, course it is before 7am too..The offer is very kind and I may wind up leasing them from you.

The Decimal point goat I was a day late on, plus a dollar short. I hate to think of buying milk from some one else but..

Cannon - There is a small CSA group near Athens. One of their growers might have a doe. They also do homesteading classes/meetings so they might have a member with family milkers that "flies below the radar", so to speak. They might sell by word of mouth outside of show and breeding circles. I know some of their members aren't interested in technology, computers... or electricity!

Here's the CSAs website:
Lazy B Farm | Family | Nature | Faith

Good luck, hope you find a suitable doe soon.

The two does are on the breeding page. Here is the link
Breedings

One is Montage Sully Shania AA1600617 FOR SALE

and the other is Montage MRH SIL Arrietty AA1600714 FOR SALE

Now I don't know if they are in milk or not.

We went down to once a day milking and the girls are only giving a quart at their evening milking, so I guess it wouldn't be enough.
