I love it! They look great!

They "tickle" them with a finger tip on either side of the spine in about that area you saw and it kinda makes them squat a little.

Tinkers hind legs don't look bad. I've seen some goats that stood still and their hocks nearly touched each other. EWWW! This is where the UDDER will go so it is important on a dairy animal. On bucks, you want them to pass width to their daughters so that's why it's important on them.

You are doing great! Keep up the good work.

You crack me up. Just so you know you have been bitten by the show bug. There is no cure, and next thing you know you will be getting more goats to show and heading off to the shows.

I agree Tinkers hocks look okay to me. I have a few that I am trying to correct with the little buck we got from Tin Mom.

I think Tinker is "toeing out"! Probably needs a good hoof trim from someone who knows what they are doing

Bad! Bad, Alice. Minelson, it is "conformation". Poor Alice has the English teacher thing "oozing" out again.

I am so blond, I couldn't figure out why they would be joining the church until I got here. Then I had a bit of a giggle fit. Thanks!

Poor Gretta says she has to get sick for HT people to fawn over her.

My new mama goat looks like her, just not as rotund...yet.

And your post, JBarG, has me wondering about placement of a period in/next to quotation marks. I grew up putting the period inside for an actual quote, but outside for instances as above.

Then, someone insisted that, in American English, the punctuation is always inside.

I am too lazy to look it up in my Strunk and Wagnall's.

I was taught that the punctuation is only inside if the quoted material is a sentence. Such as...Joe opened the door and screamed "I can't believe we don't have any toilet paper!".

No, that's incorrect, because 1.) it's a direct quote, and 2.) the period outside the quotation mark is extraneous.

Direct quotes are ALWAYS inside the quotation mark.

My high school English teacher must have been drunk, because we always had to do it the way I posted. I must say, though, that it was a Baptist school, so we learned LOTS of stuff that was messed up! How about this...in 10th grade, the girls HAD to take Home Ec, and the boys HAD to take World History. The only exception was a girl who was allowed to take World History because she had transferred from another Christian school and had taken Home Ec in 9th grade. My hubby says I still have some bitterness to get over.
