So what's wrong with fat goats? Based on pictures, your goats look just right to me. :o)

The first thing the old guy we got Teasel from says when he drops by to visit is, "Your goats are too fat!" Teasel kind of thumbs her nose. She likes being fat.

They are NOT "fat"; they are "well conditioned"!!!

~goes and loves on Brie and Mardi, murmuring, "Now don't you listen to those Goat Expo people. You are LOVELY. They don't know what they are talking about. They are just jealous because they don't have well conditioned Divas like you two...."~

Once again, ya beat me to it Calliann.
Now one of mine really is fat, at least telling from the pockets of fat hanging from her elbows just like an ol human lady.

So glad you two are having the time of your life!

Yes- I agree =the word is "conditioned."
The grades of "conditioned" are-
1) Hiding any confirmation faults
2) having a capacious rumen
3) Making 'em slow enough to catch
4) have to enlarge the stall door

Unless you are at grade 4, you're fine...........

As far as I am concerned, if they can still hop up on the milkstand, they aren't "fat".

*ahem*, they are "short-waisted." And if yours are fat, then mine are...well, never mind

I'm terribly jealous that you're there. Please take good notes for us, especially the hoof trimming parts
