Oh No !! don't go !!!! There have been times also, with me that I have taken a "break" from the site. Some people seem to forget that even though we don't see each other face to face..we need to remember our manners. I am sorry you feel this way. I have a saying that I often repeat to myself..mostly.."Do the kindest things in the kindest ways"...Guess we all could remember this...

huh? When did you feel as if you said anything? I've never sited any remarks that were irritating, and I read everyday. I noticed, in fact, that you tickled the funny bone of a recent newcomer - so no, I wouldn't think you should feel slighted in anyway, and you'd be missed. Go if you need a break, but come back. Some of us do this now and again, for one reason or another.

Frog, it was a joke!!

I was just gigging you because she asked for "enabling comments" and it appeared you were throwing water on your own parade but not necessarily anyone else's.

My mother would say (and I have to stop myself here to add...there is little that I would listen to my mother about these days), however, when I was a child she would say...don't wear your feelings on your sleeve. Really, I was just razzing you.

Have a great day!!

Frog, don't go. I don't think I've ever seen where you posted a snarkey remark or comment & I've always enjoyed your posts. It's hard to tell someone's tone of voice or how they feel over the internet so I'm sure there are quite a few of us that have felt the same way you have at 1 time or another. I know I have a few times over the years year.

It takes all kinds for our Crazy goat forum & we need you here!

Hmmm- I never thought of being welcomed as a forum attribute. But I have read lots of good information and had people help or at least offer sympathy so that's pretty good for me. Not all people but enough to ignore the others.
I think there are two ways to "live" on forums- one is let things roll off for the sake of the good and the other is to out snarky the snarky. Sometimes a mixture of both.
Frankly HT has made me less suseptible to hurt feelings- I've toughed up which is good.
I certainly found your posts to be helpful in bringing out interesting ideas.

Please don't go. You will be missed, I will miss you! I have been gone the last week or so and I have no idea what happened but please don't leave. The goat community needs you. I feel that way too sometimes then Goat Servant or Callieann says something that make me feel welcome again. Please don't leave us.

I think of the Goat Forum like a team of scientists working towards a common goal.

Some of the scientists have VERY strong opinions that are in direct opposition of one another.

Some of the scientists are old school and may not have the latest information.

Some of the scientists have the new information, but don't have the experience to know WHY something works.

Some of the folks aren't scientists....yet. They are interns, with bright eyes, open minds, and hopeful expressions.

But we all have one thing in common: our love of goats. We have them, we love them, and we want what is best for them...even if we don't always agree on what is best for them.

It also means that EVERYONE'S opinion is valuable, even if that opinion is later shown to be wrong. The IDEAS will get us started in new patterns of thinking.

Albert Einstein once said, "To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old problems from a new angle, requires creative imagination and marks real advance in science. "

~smiles warmly~ See why we need you?

Darn... If there were ruffled feathers, I missed it.

FT, I don't know why you're upset, but maybe you could take it to private mail and hash it out. Heck, there aren't even any flagged posts...

Sleep on it. Things may look different in the morning.
