Pictures of our new little buck - Goats
This is our new future herdsire. His registered name is Still waters Farm Augustus but we call him Gus. He's 3 months old. He's a mini nubian buck.

This is his wethered friend Bentley, he's 7 months old & is a mini silky fainter. Thank goodness he hasn't fainted on me yet.

Gus thinks he's found some better browse.

Of course I can't forget our other 4 sweeties.

Thanks everyone for all the nice comments. We sure Love them all.

The 4 on the picnic table do look like big puddles don't they, well at least Moose & Daisey do. Moose is a little on the plump side but Daisey is just right but that photo makes her look fat.

Moose is so much bigger than Gus & they were not being very nice to him so we got Bentley for his little pen mate & they Loved each other from day 1. If Bentley wants the hay feeder Gus is at he just bites him a little, no butting, etc. and Gus is such a sweetie & Loves to snuggle. When he starts peeing on himself the snuggling will have to stop & just scratches where he's dry.

Oh, he's lovely! And Bentley is gorgeous too. He doesn't faint much? Modo didn't at first but the longer we have him, the more he faints. It kind of freaks me out. I wish he'd stop doing that.

I was hoping he wouldn't faint at all, ever. I'm afraid it will freak me out too. So far if he's fainted I haven't been there to see it.

Katie, your goats are beautiful!! I am so addicted to goats. I would just LOVE to have a Mini-Nubian buckling but I can't justify it for ONE accidental doeling so...I am bredding my this year's doelings to NDs...so next year I can justify it...

(Lord, help me with my addiction. I'll sell 10 ND does before I get a Mini-Nubian buck. My friends on HT will hold me to this!) Won't you, guys?

Lovely, and good luck. I think you did a great job on the pics.

I dunno what this says about me.... But I once visited a herd of Mytonics...

Owner lit a fire cracker & the group started dropping like flies.... Some just where they stood, others mid-run.... It was kinda horrifying when they went stiff... One close to me twitched a lil....

Worse part of this story? After a frozen minute just staring, I broke into the biggest giggle fit ever.... I truly couldn't stop myself Perhaps my sense of humor is just way too "off"

Couldn't own fainters..... The horror/humor blend is too much for me

Katie- What generation is your mini boy?

Bucky boy is lovely, but I've got the biggest crush on Bentley! As was said, his bloomers are to die for :-)

Yeah, Right! I'm thinking you need a little mini nubian buckling so I won't be any help at all. Then you can have mini nubians & mini mancha's.

He is 5th generation.
We didn't start out to get the fainter. It just worked out that way when I wanted a new weather for Gus. Bentley is a real sweetie too.

His hair as an adult should be long almost to the ground. Never knew much about the mini silky fainters but I will say they are much calmer & more layed back than any other breed we've ever had. We really Love him already & he'a an excellent friend for Gus since he's so passive & layed back as well.
