OT: By Royal Decree

Henceforth it shall be deemed illegal, immoral, unpatriotic, and just plain mean to hold the antelope hunt during canning season. It interferes with the royal schedule to break down and process a large animal while the royal peaches and green beans wilt on the porch. Her royal highness dislikes staying up until 2am canning. Henceforth, antelope season shall be held in October because pumpkins are easy. This is my notice to DWR.

I have spoken.

I'm so glad our deer hunting season's don't start until I'm done canning or I'd never have anything put up for winter since dh & I both hunt. Antelope sounds pretty good though. Maybe find a processor for the meat so you can get some rest.

DH doesn't get to hunt because his boss hunts and someone has to be on call. Last year DH's aunt shot one and gave it to us because no one likes antelope but us. DH's cousin got this one. They forgot to tell us that he drew a tag though so we didn't make arrangements for processing. I've just canned most of it.
