OT: Fun with stenciling

I just had to share with my online friends! I have been working these past three days to totally repaint and decorate my bedroom. I just finished with my door and I am pretty dang proud of how well it turned out. This is my first attempt EVER at stenciling anything.

Donna I feel for you . My bedroom has been this horrible olive green with dark green for about 9yrs and it was depressing me (I was young and stupid when I picked those colors). I have been planning to change the colors and repaint/decorate for the past year but I had a 3 day off period and I just went for it.

My walls are a beautiful warm custard white, the trim is the beautiful purple seen on the door and the window wall is sponge painted with a beautiful warm yellow (same color as the door). I have plenty of fun things I have collected over the years I am putting on my walls to bring in even more color. I am going to repaint my dresser and headboard/foot board with the same yellow/purple/pink accents and stencil them as well. I love the goats but it is so much fun to do something for me for once.

Oh and above my window I am putting my favorite bible verse. In the window itself I am thinking of getting some pretty off white or cream colored lace curtains.
