My crazy goat lady documentary is up!
It's at: Casey's General Store - Casey's Famous People | Facebook
If you don't have a Facebook account and won't be voting, you can also see it at YouTube:
Thanks in advance to anyone who votes for me! Also, several people have asked me to post reminders. I hate to bother the whole forum, so if you would like me to send reminders, email me at ozarkgoattrek@gmail.com and I'll be very, very happy to.
But please be sure to view the mini-documentary so you can see how cute Spike, the abandoned mini-Nubian doeling is. The Barkley crew homed in on her and she's so adorable.

~sighs~ If I want to see the video, and vote for you, I have to use their app, which will convert me to Timeline....which I have very carefully and studiously avoided getting converted to.....

Sue, I voted for you!
When I watched the video of the Freedom Rock, I saw a photo that made me gasp. Turns out it's from Viet Nam, but it LOOKS like photos my dad took on Iwo Jima! It's on the cover of a book called Semper Cool.

I voted and shared...and shamelessly made a little plug about wanting goats that hopefully my hubby will see so he gets his back side in gear and puts in 20 stupid feet of fence so I can get some goats too.

Oh, that's okay, I absolutely, fully understand. You can view the documentary without voting at YouTube:

Thanks, Alice. I really hate that I'm up against the Freedom Rock guy. That is so incredibly cool. When he talks about putting veterans' ashes in the paint, that really choked me up. If I didn't need the money so badly I would vote for him!

Voted!! Great video by the way.
I liked the painters video too, he is extremely talented. But your video "speaks" to me.

Sadly, you can't avoid timeline, even if you avoid the apps.
One day, they just tell you, "You have a week until you get Timelined, so suck it up Buttercup."
Then, you will get timelined and never visit your own wall again.
But the newsfeed will still be okay.

Thank you!
I love it when I'm waxing enthusiastic about goats and Mopple, the Dorper-Katahdin wether who lives with Kerla, belts out one loud, "BAAAAH!" He's apparently our self-appointed spokesheep.
And can you believe the Bon Bon family racing around like that? I thought they'd hang around and have to be elbowed out of the way since they're so incredibly in visitors' faces. But nooooo, they took one look at all that camera gear and it was STAMPEDE! And of course, the sheep figured that if the Bon Bons are running, some really scary booger must be after them, so they ran too. No one was chasing anyone, they were simply being ninnys. That footage was taken Thursday night and the Bon Bons had cooled down by Saturday but they never did chum up the way I expected. I think goats ALWAYS keep us guessing...

Dreamgoat Annie-
I love it! They did a great job interviewing and filming. I had no idea you wrote The Backyard Goat! I have a copy and its one of my favorite goat books. Great little historic tidbits and one of the best descriptions of signs of impending birth, very helpful.

Thank you! Really, the people from Barkley were amazing! They shot hours of footage for those two minutes. I had no idea how they'd pick stuff out and run it together but they did an awesome job
Yep, those books put feed in the hay racks and feeders. I write solely to support this mob.
The Backyard Goat is my favorite so far--I love collecting the historic tidbits! The Backyard Cow is in the same series and The Backyard Sheep will come out early next year. I'm trying to talk Storey into more Backyard books!

Here is the link I found when I saw Emily had asked the same question I had. I'm just bumping this up. The documentary was well done! Sue, you did us all proud. Your animals look great and your place looked very "clean". I think we "hill-billies" get stereo-typed and I think those folks did a great job and making you look great! I liked the way you chattered in the background to the goats. That's the way it is here also. They're like little children, so funny.
I loved it and I posted something for my "friends" to see also. I hope it goes well for you!

A lot of folks are saying that. Check the tip I just put into a new thread. Oh, wait, I still have it in copy-and-paste! Here it is:
Deb Burns at Storey came up with simplified voting instructions that might work for those of you who are having problems. Here they are:
1. Go to YouTube to see the short, sweet video.
...
PL7F12F8808C6BA92E&index=4&feature=plpp_video
2. Click on the link to Casey’s Facebook page.
3. “Like” Casey’s and go for the App (You can lose this later).
4. Click on Sue’s image to vote, once a day.
Thanks for trying. I really, truly, 100% appreciate it soooooo much!

Thanks, Gena!
Actually, the tarps and twine make me cringe but if we'd built and maintained a show place on the money we make, there couldn't BE any animals. I jokingly tell people our farm name is Tarp and Twine Farm.
Oh geez, I never shut up around the animals. I'd rather talk to them than people. They tend to listen better and no one rolls their eyes when I talk.
The people from Barkley really DID do a super job on the documentary. )
