He absolutely LOVES playing in the oats while the goats eat.
Turned my back one day and came back to find this. He loves to play with my feed buckets.

What a little doll! He's not afraid of those big goats 1 bit is he? He's a future goat farmer for sure & will be helping you feed in a couple years probably.

Oooooohhh! He is going to be a heartbreaker when he grows up! Just one flash of those baby blues and the ladies will melt.

No he is not afraid of those goats. He does complain when they step on his toes but he goes right back for more. I'll post some more Patrick and goat pics after I get them uploaded to photobucket. He is such a goober.
He is an outdoor addict. He loves all the animals, goats, cows, horses, cats, dogs. His parents are planning on moving into or very near town in the next few months. We are trying to convince them to stay country if just for Patrick. He needs his animals!!

Watching very closely....... The biggest problem I have is that he LOVEs to pick up goat berries and drop them in my water tubs.

He seems to be developing a healthy, well developed rumen. He is such a cutie. At least he keeps his diaper on. My son thought outdoors meant buck nekkid. Except one shoe. He was always naked with one shoe on?!?

Those last pictures got me wondering. Are your goats ever mean to him. My Dora for some reason everytime she sees a little person, raises her hackles, puts her ears back and it not watched will consider butting a little person. What is up with that? They have never been mean to her. Your goats all look like they don't mind the little guy at all.
Your little man is adorable. I like the pic of him mooing at the cows best!

CJbegins,
When Patrick first started going out choring with me, I did walk him through the goat herd many times. The does were wary/ornery/curious, never downright aggresssive though. But I didn't trust them, as they were not used to pint-sized company.
After they got used to him walking through the herd, I started letting him wander while I was in the vicinity. I make sure he doesn't fall in the water tubs, but otherwise just let him do his thing.
Now the does will smell him, follow him, but usually just ignore him.
I think the hackles/dancing on tip-toe, etc is just their reaction to anything new. A few of mine have done that to certain strangers and i've had others goats do it to me. Usually only if their owners are near. If I'm in the herd by myself they are as friendly as can be. I think in those cases its a protective feeling for their owners.
