Does hate their arranged "dates"

I've heard of this happening but ugh it's a pain! I'm running 4 bucks this yr - 2 mini mancha and 2 nigerian (one of which is from top eastern bloodlines and I'm leasing). The does, even in full blown heat, that are to be bred to the fancy handsome wellbred leased buck absolutely HATE him. It took two of us to breed the one nigerian doe - one to hold the doe and the mini mancha buck all are in looooove with in front of her while the other used the leased buck to get her from behind. I've got her and two other does to be bred to him today and they just scream tuck and run as soon as he walks to wards them if I let them in a paddock with them. Meanwhile another nigerian doe thats in roaring heat and paired with the other nigerian buck is happy as can be and the unhappy does are beating the tar out if her. Ugh all these hormones!

Yep, I have had this happen, but I always tell them " you don't make the breeding plans I do" and yes I talk to my goats. Usually it's a youngster they don't want, a lot of times if you will lead the buck they like up to there head, then lead the one you want to breed them to up behind they will be more receptive.

AI sounds wonderful right now lol. But not alot of ND choices and not a single MM. All these boys are from this year. The nastiest looking one is who they all want of course.

It's easier just to keep a buck with them. They learn to be a flock and like each other. But I don't worry about showing or anything, so that may be a lot harder when you are looking for a certain line.

Thats kinda hard when running 4 bucks over 9 does. That would be 4 pens and another for the three that cant be bred for 2 months yet.

Tell her "Suck it up sister." Addie hated lil stinky at first. Took about an hour of me holding her and her flipping out to see he wasn't horrible.
