If you use Molly's herbal wormer

Does it make the milk taste funny? I understand the way it works is to create an unsavory environment for the parasites inside the goats but I really don't want goat milk that tastes like wormwood and garlic.

I am giving some of my girls raw garlic "on the hoof" (whole clove stuck in my pill gun) more than once a day and haven't tasted anything "funny". It would take a lot to make the milk off-tasting.

Garlic is the best thing we have found. I have and use antibiotics but have had cases of "strange" things that didn't respond to anything but GARLIC!

ETA: Clarification...we are not using garlic as a wormer. We have had skin issues (lesions in hard to treat places, fungus, etc.) and after much reading, decided to try garlic, as it is cheap and natural and other things didn't work.

I have used it in the past, but I'm not now because it doesn't really work. No, it does not alter the taste of the milk.

I have heard larger breeders and even the vet in town talk about the use of wormwood being a viable option. Both agreed that you must start with a clean fecal first and use it as a "maintenance" program. I have no practical knowledge on this product though.

I have used it exclusively for a number of years now.
No funny tasting milk.
No worm load.
I did start using it after giving them all a dose of chemical dewormer. I follow the instructions and am VERY happy with the results.
My goats look good, milk great, keep good weight on, deliver triplets consistently, dark red eyelids.
Not sure if I can ask for anything else!
