We went to look one time & I told my husband to bring the crate & he said which one & I told him both of them! He looked at me funny & I just told him you never know I might need them!

You are planning on bringing some home right?!

There is a natural law about crate capacity trumping wallet thickness and all other limiting forces. Better to just leave the crate at home, or else!

What do you mean, are we bringing any home? I just KNOW there will be one with GREAT lines, one that would have gone to the sale barn if we didn't bring it home, a bottle baby, it's sister, because they couldn't be separated...

Of course! Why should new babies ride in a dark, cramped, crate? It's inhuman!

Yes, yes, yes. I was just thinking the other day that I really NEED to look into getting some other bloodlines into the herd. Now you are my inspiration.

I like this. I drive a 2000 Ford Windstar. Just fold up the backseat, lay down a tarp if there is time and away we go! We raise for meat and I will say the last time we made a trip to the slaughterhouse, the USDA inspectors were quite impressed that the goat had air conditioning.

Mini-Van here. Although there was the one time I brought home a doe and her two kids in the back seat of a Geo Metro. Where there is a will, there is a way!

We haul in the back of the pickup. We bought a used cap for such occasions...I'm not old enough to be driving around with a cap on the truck full time...hee hee hee!

Anyway, Hubby rigged up some straps that hang from the rafters of the garage so that we can hang the cap when it's not in use. That way, when we need it, we just back the truck up, lower the cap down into position, and fasten it on to the truck.

Since the truck only gets 10 miles to the gallon, it would be nice if we could haul them in the back seat of Hubby's car. However, he's just not that kinda guy!

There are much worse addictions out there! I collected to many myself, but I kinda have an excuse. As I learned more about goats I switched which breed I was focusing on. Thats my story and im sticking to it. I could stop anytime I wanted...

So we went and looked. We bring one home next week. Of course, there were two others we wanted, but since we keep them at a friend's house, we can't just bring them three more goats! (Course, we might just sneak away with that adorable tiny black munchie) I'm sorry, they wouldn't hold still for pictures, and I can't get them offf my phone onto the computer.
