Miniature Dairy Goat Association Web Site

Do we have any MDGA people here? I was wanting to access the site for some information, but it keeps telling me:

"Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

Since what I was attempting to access is the home page, I am a bit confused. Is the site down? Are THEY down? Please don't tell me they have ceased to exist!

It worked for me. Clear your history, reboot your computer, and try again.

~sighs~ It didn't work. I cleared all of my history (even cache, cookies, etc., everything but saved passwords), closed everything down, and then restarted. No love. Cleared it again, restarted. Still no love.

Oh well, at least I know it is ME and not them. Maybe they have a problem with my server or something.

~grinz~ Tried it again, but this time when the computer rebooted, I tried to go to the site using Explorer instead of my default Chrome. I have never used Explorer on this computer...it is still set up with the computer manufacturer's homepage.

I got the same error message, so I am going to have to assume that my server isn't playing well with their server, and there is nothing I can do about that. Maybe it will resolve itself in a few days.

Thanks for the help, Alice. Now I know it isn't me OR them.

I highlighted MDGA in your post and right clicked, one of the options is "search google for MDGA" Click on that, and it takes me to a search results page, with MDGA as the first option. I hope it works for you.

I also am a chrome person.

I use Chrome, too. I think you're right about your ISP's server.

Gotta be the server. That's what I get for being out in the middle of nowhere, having to use satellite!

I was just on their site the other day & now when I try to get on there it's giving me the same message Caliann. I think it's our weather or something. I've never had that problem before & I also have Chrome. We are out in the Boonies too though!

Yeah, Hugh's Net. That's all I can get here unless I want Dial Up.
I just tried MDGA again though & now I got right on. We've been having rain though for 2 full days though too so I think that has something to do with it.

I have Hugh's Net too. Just tried it, still got the message. They might not have fixed it down here. We've had clear, hot weather.

Some of there pages

I notice the Oberhasli pages did not work but Nubians did. I think it is the sites problem.

Oh, I talked to Andrea last week at their office. They are moving the site to a new server, bit-by-bit, and some of the site is accessible, and some is giving people on CERTAIN other servers some fits. They hope to have it all straightened up in the next couple of weeks.

I had hughes net and will say I hated it!! It sucked!! but when you have no other option...I thought I didn't but then I found Sprint WI-FI and it worked better and was cheaper than Hughes net and I had a bigger download pool 6G instead of the 256 mb hughes offered.

I'm hoping as time goes by that some of the phone or satellite TV companies will start to offer more services like internet in our area. I understand we are so far out that it's not profitable for cable companies out this way though.
