My goats are soooo mad at me!

The barn cooler broke yesterday and I have been trying to figure out how to temp. fix it and ALL of the goats are standing IN FRONT of where the AIR SHOULD BE flowing and they all look very DISAPPOINTED.
We are looking at up to 110 this weekend.... I am afraid of a rebellion

Now off to find some 10 gauge wire... I have a 12 gauge extension cord that connects to a 14 then to a 16, and the motor of the cooler just doesn't have enough juice to run correctly, but I have to admit, coming in from 104* to a nice 74 in the house is NICE!!!!!!! Too bad it won't last long.

What we don't do for our goats.......

Time to hook up a few fans sounds like until you can get the cooler re-wired or/and fixed.
I sure hope those high temp's pass quickly through your area & it cools off some. They are predicting only low to mid 70's for us the next few days! Hasn't been that cool even here since April & then we still were getting above normal temperatures!

Oh no! Poor babies. you will have to spend the night in the barn and wipe their brows. Or fan them....with a palm. that is what I would do.

I used to talk to people who would come over to the coast each year to "vacation" from the heat. Maybe you need to send the goaties over.

I am sure they wouldn't mind if you came over and picked them up! They need a day at the beach!

what I am trying to do is get a solid wire (house gauge) down the the aviary, then hook up a little breaker box and then run the 12 gauge extension cord to the cooler.... I was trying to find 10 gauge hard line but only found 12 out in the shed. Not sure if that can handle the amperage that I need, so I may have to wait til payday to get the cooler fixed again...
I got them to where they were "ok" today, I don't think the heat will really bug them that much, but I am so paranoid about my buck and his breeding I am willing to do just about anything..... (Including having a enviromentally controlled bachelor pad for next summer) ......
