Goats in the house...

I'm sure other people here have done something similar but here is my story.

I dis-budded 3 of the babies this morning. One I also banded. After coming home they seemed to be doing fine so I went to run some other errands. When I got home DW explained to me that the little buckling wasn't acting too well, and one of his buds had bled a little...So he is now running around the kitchen/dining room being bottle fed...Watch your step. Well at least it is a tile floor. BTW, the bleeding has stopped.

Baby animals in the kitchen IS fun! (Just good luck on cooking something that doesn't have goat fur in it)

Goats are very easy to house train too. I love having baby kids in the house. They do great until they start jumping on the counters and tables.

At the old house we would let them walk around. Our new house is too clean, and we got tired of sweeping up straw all the time. We kick everything outside ASAP that is not a cat. Now we just live in the barn which is twice the size of our house anyways.

DW will kick him back out when he starts doing running back flips off of the back of her knees while she's making dinner, or doing her hair, or talking on the phone, or vacuuming, or......

We've had bottle babies in the house multiple times in the past. Sometimes it's because they're lonely singletons, sometimes I think it's just we're lonely and wanting a good laugh!

DW here! He, Goatmeal (named by our DD), has not been jumping around too much. I imagine he still has a headache. He has jumped up on the rocker, dining room chair, futon, and cedar chest.

I've rocked him to sleep 3 times this afternoon with a cool compress on his head. He just loves that! But my arms go to sleep after awhile. He's too heavy.

He is going out to the barn tonight. We won't get any sleep otherwise. As soon as I get out of his sight he starts bawling.

I've never seen anything that can pee as much as he can!!! Every 5 minutes.
