Mom the sky is falling (pics)

I am remolding the house so today the girls got a little extra hay and locked away up by the house. Then I heard one of them blood curdling screams, dropped everything and ran outside to find it raining and one of the babies (Chime) stuck there frozen watching it rain. She must of forgotten what rain is.

Here's them after I saved the sweet little baby. She is in the middle between Cherry and Addie Girl.

The only chicken I have left. I lost her friend due to the heat here. This is cow the best chicken I ever have had.

See! It's not just Nubians! They look like they think you're crazy for standing in the rain like that.

I hope you get enough rain to save everything without flooding.

I always get the biggest kick out of watching the goats run for the barn when it rains. My big cow, Ms. Moo never even looks up-even in a downpour, but those goats think they are made out of sugar!

My 5 year old turned the hose on last week when I asked her to but I forgot to ask her to turn it off. We were refilling a smaller bucket outside the barn. Well-it ran for over 8 hours and when we got home I could not figure why they were all raising a stink, and why they simply would not go into the barn. Then I noticed the swamp we had created with the hose - and laughed so hard I almost wet my pants watching the dodge the water puddle.

Wonder what it is about rain that goats dislike so much? Even in a light sprinkle they just do not want to get in it!

I don't know, but it sure is funny! Rain sure doesn't like the rain! It makes her ears wet! She'll stand in it for a minute, then run to her dog house, and just sit there saking her big ol' saanen ears...
