can't figure out the math on this CL ad

Horses both $1000 buy one get one free

.... so, $1,500 for both, or buy the gelding for $1,000 and they will give you the paint mare free.... ???????? Is anyone a math teacher?

I'm an English major. I can't help you. They did do a great job of confusing me though so it must be a great deal no matter what package I choose. Or not.

It's too early for maths for this math-a-phobe but...

I think they didn't think their ad wording through very well.

You got that right. (Says the sucker that knowingly took on a free cryptorchid Arab stud that is off on a front ankle) (And still doesn't regret it. Much. Til the vet bill comes in at least.)
