Awwe, thanks for checking! I have been so busy with making sure the trailer was ready if I needed to get my goats evacuated, and dealing with my new baby, I've only been able to 'sneak peeks' on the computer!

Fire update: I had lite ash falling both the last 2 mornings. Not too bad, but I was still concerned if a spot fire could start... but thankfully the fire is burning East/ Northeast now (I am 3 miles from the southern edge) and the fire crews were able to save over 200 homes. It is up to 1000 acres now, so it hasn't grown much today ***YAY***

For the smoke, well I gave some benedryl to the goats that seemed most agitated by the smoke, kept misters going in the barn to help keep the smoke down (the ends are open), and I think they are all going to be ok.

Great! Fire is scary. Wait until you have to clean all of that ash off of every surface in your house. That's when the fun begins.

I can't imagine! Yuck! But it seems like it would be "bittersweet" (can't think of a better word - that one doesn't really fit) because it would be a huge, unbelievable yucky nasty job, but at least there is a house to wipe ash off.....

Thinking of you, and praying you all stay safe!
