Porcupine Protection

I haven't been able to get Photobucket to work-but finally got it.My 2 LGDs came running to the house, screaming and followed by the goats. I guess they were afraid of a porcupine goat attack. The vet said he'd not seen one this bad, and the photo was taken after we'd already pulled out about 40.Her paws were full of them too.She looks SO miserable. The other one didn't look as bad, but had her quills in the back of her throat, tongue, and roof of her mouth. Brave girls. I bet this porcupine is now completely naked. And not a goat was poked.Porcupine Protection - Goats

Those Poor babies! So Glad the goats didn't get any quills on them anywhere & hopefully you got them all out of the dogs. I know those are really painful to have pulled out too.

Oh that poor girl. Around here they have had so many more reports of this. They are saying its from the dry conditions.

Holy Ow! That poor, brave girl. It's interesting what they view as a threat. They were probably going in for the kill and didn't stop at one bite. That's why there are so many. Poor sweet babies.
