Sick doe, not sure what is wrong.

Yesterday my Mini Mancha did not eat, then I noticed she would not go out with the herd so I took her temp 103.3. It was actually cooler then it has been with some cloud cover and wind. Then I noticed she was breathing hard so I was thinking pnuemonia. I gave her some PenG, Banamine and she drank some Gatorade. I brought her into the mudroom as well since yesterday was windy and she was just sitting in it and flies were annoying her.

About four hours later she gets up and protests being in the mudroom so I let her out and she goes to her BFF the full size La Mancha, eats a few weeds and they go and lay down.

I checked on her a few times during the night, I slept through or shut off the 2 am wake up, but I got up during the 6 am alarm. Her temp is now 101.7, it was a bit chilly this morning but she is the only one with a cold nose, cold inside her mouth and while she is not breathing hard/kind of panting this morning she still sounds a bit wheezy to me.

She has never had health problems, she is 2 yrs old and never bred.

It was really windy yesterday but here ( if it works) is a video of how she was breathing and at one point you can hear her breathing over the wind.

The vet had an emergency but he said I did the right things, keep an eye on her blah blah.
But she is not better and I am not sure what is wrong with her or what to do next.

Keep up with the antibiotic over the weekend. If she's not improved by Monday, take her to the vet.

Poor baby! Maybe a tougher antibiotic like Nuflor? Maybe she took a bad blow to the ribs- hence the panting. Does she act like she's injured? Hypoglycemia can cause a low temp. Maybe some warm molasses water would warm her up and give her a calorie boost. Also in some cases banamine can overwork and drop a temp below normal.

No she is not acting injured or in pain just off in general, nowhere I touch causes her to shy away. She hates molasses but I got her to drink some Kool-Aid with B-12 gel and electrolyte paste in it.

I can get Nuflor today since one vet has a store and it is open till 1 pm. They are not good with goats for the most part, but will sell me meds.

I did not think about the Banamine making her temp lower, I gave her 1 cc just once but I won't give her more unless the vet says so. I was worried about her lungs getting damaged or her having stomach issues so I gave it to her.

I know I threaten to sell her or have her stuffed and mount her head in my living room since she is such a pest, now I feel bad for telling her that. Even though just two days ago she was prancing on the roof of my SUV and I was yelling at her to get down!

I would try CDT antitoxin. That's exactly what happened with Popcorn. CDT wouldn't hurt regardless.

Oh shoot Thaiblue. I'm sending healing vibes your way! I sure hope she gets better. Fast breathing can be a pain response. Does she have gut noise?

The vet in town saw the new video I took this morning and also thinks pneumonia and gave me a long lasting antibiotic called Draxxin.
She said to go ahead and give her one more shot of Banamine as well.
She suggested hosing her down and I had to laugh since even not feeling well I have a feeling she will run from me. So the vet said to sponge her down which I am going to try in a bit.

Yes she has gut sounds and brings up a bit of cud. I am glad because I do not have one of those mesh shark gloves to try to get cud from another goat, lol.

Kris at least he did not think she was some kind of alien

With that stronger antibiotic she'll probably be back to herself by Monday. Poor thing does look like she's breathing pretty hard in that video.
Hope she gets better soon.
I would keep up on the Vitamin B gel too.

Keep us posted on how she is doing. Have been in and out this afternoon to check on her. (((hugs))). Don't you hate it when one of your babies isn't quite "right" but you can't figure out exactly how to make it better?

She is holding her own.
Since the sun has gone down she is no longer panting like a dog. I sponged her, made her drink some Gatorade, had to go to a wedding thankfully close by, ran back checked on her and then went back to the wedding.
I did get her to eat a few animal crackers, she also ate a few alfalfa pellets but not like her normal starved goaty self.

I am hoping the antibiotic will take effect soon.

Thanks for the good thoughts and for checking on her
