Alpine Herdsire still for sale - reduced!

I still have my lovely alpine herdsire for sale, he has truly outstanding alpine genetics (lines from Mamm-Key, Three Rings and Roeburn on both his sire and dam's side) and his dam was the top producing doe on his breeder's farm. I had high hopes for this guy and was really excited for his offspring next year, but things did not pan out. I am having a hard time selling him, since it seems that most people around here want cheap goats, and aren't particularly interested in high end genetics or registered stock.

I have reduced his price to $300, and I would be willing to negotiate with someone from HT if anyone was interested. I really want him to go to a good, knowledgeable home where he will be used to his full potential. He comes from a tested, clean herd, and I can obtain paperwork. PM me or respond here if you are interested, and feel free to forward this to anyone who is.

*Yes, this is the buck that I was posting about who fell and hit his head not too long ago. I have been watching him very closely and he seems to have recovered 100%

I am happy to answer any questions. Thanks.

With those lines, he should sire high producing daughters. I had a Three Rings buck once. The production was always better in his daughters and it seemed to carry through to the grand-daughters, etc as well.

I hope you find the right place for him- have you tried the Alpine Talk list on Yahoo groups?

Thanks. I have not tried alpine talk, I will check that out. Yes, he should have some high producing daughters. His breeder had BEAUTIFUL, very high producing alpines, and his dam was her best doe
