swollen testicles and allergies

I have a 4 year old buck whom I had noticed was getting a swollen scrotum. No fever. They felt normal. His behavior was normal.
Upon closer inspection (and believe me, it takes TALENT to secure a 300 lb buck good enough to carefully inspect), I had found multiple bug bites on his scrotal area and up onto his stomach area. I applied a benedryl type cream for several days and I noticed this morning that it appears that the scrotal area looks more normal!

I will ALWAYS be stressed about his well-being and trying to make sure he gets his job done, but as soon as I have does that are verified settled, I will go have a cold beer (and those of you who know me KNOW I don't drink, so I probably will get pretty buzzed on one beer! lol)

Just from your title it sounds like someone is having a bad day. The bugs have been so bad here too. They love my does' udders. They're funny when I'm washing them up before I milk. They get this look like, "Please wash harder!"

I'm a cheap date too.

Maybe try spraying him with some kind of bug spray. I use the Black bottle from TSC & I think it's called Ultra EX. Lasts about 2 weeks & it works the best of any I've found.

So glad your big guy is getting back to normal. Must be pretty miserable when the bugs won't leave you alone. The Flies have been really bad this year & bite! Not so many mosquitos though since it's been so dry.

When I was browsing the new threads and saw your subject line, my first thought was:

"Now there is a man with a real problem!"

Glad it was your goat and that all is well.
