Best Goat Wormer?

I've been told soo many things by soo many people.
Whats the best/safest goat dewormer?

I have a dwarf, pygmy and a saeen. They will all be a year old in Feb.
My saeen baby, has started loosing weight and eyelids are white. What should I use for them? Local man at the feed store says he uses safe-guard paste for horses and it works everytime?

I also have a milk goat, nubian/lamancha. Whats safe for her that we'll still be able to use the milk.

My dwarf, pygmy and milk goat all have pink eyelids. My main concern is for my Saeen baby right now. Help please!

Depends on the parasites.... I have "clear" dewormers for nasty blood suckers like HC & "white" dewormers to take care of intestinal critters like tapes....

My "clear" dewormers are Moxidectin (can be found in Cydectin or Quest horse gel..... I use Quest at 1cc per 100lbs) & Ivermectin Plus (1cc per 30lbs) which contains a flukecide for liver flukes.... I use Quest prebreeding & the day after they kid..... New arrivals get Quest the day they arrive & again 10 days later. I use Ivermectin Plus when my does are 100 days bred...
I also keep regular Ivermectin on hand though I rarely use it for the goats...

My "white" dewormers are Valbazen (1cc per 10lbs) or Zimectrin Gold (1cc per 50lbs). I use a white wormer & clear dewormer each month in my growing kids..... I do not use Safeguard because here, it is no longer effective unless I use at 5xs the label dose, for 5 consecutive days.... Which makes it more expensive than the Valbazen or Zimectrin Gold.

The only time I use "white" dewormers in my adults is when they are newly purchased & in quarantine.... They get hit with both dewormers, and a repeat in 10 days, then go with the main herd about 3 weeks after arriving. Otherwise I haven't had to use the white dewormers in my adults....

Pale eyelids would make me think you need something like Quest/Ivermectin/Ivermectin Plus...

Really though, your best bet is to have a fecal done, find out what parasites your goats have, then chose your drug accordingly.

As for the Saanen baby.... How old is he?

In kids, I practice coccidia prevention. Kids are given a medication every 21 days, for 5 days in a row...... Gives you robust, growthy kids & prevents intestinal scaring from coccidia. Once well grown, they usually can keep coccidia in check on their own...

I'd give him a round of coccodia treatment, and deworm him.
