Different goats/Different milk

Both receive the same care, pasture, feed. Goat A milk is perfect, goat B is undrinkable. No apparent illness, mastitis or texture of milk...

What to look for??

Tested the milk for mastitis or just looking for signs? Subclinical mastitis can show no outward signs but still be there.

Some of my goats like to eat things others don't, including things that affect the milk.

Have they both been copper bolused? Actually, that would be my first thought.

Wormed? That can affect quality, too.

Has the goat in question ever made good milk? What breeds are the goats? Goats make different tasting milk even within the same breed. If that's just the way her milk tastes and nothing is wrong there's nothing you can do, besides get rid of her and get one that makes good milk. I watched my sister go through this for years trying to "fix" icky milk makers.

ha, check out my thread about 'sour in 4 days'. I've been jumping thru hoops trying to figure this out, and the only reason is b/c she has made some fantastic milk and I know she can again. I know also, its not me, my fridge or otherwise the way I milk.

we've had super hot/dry weather, and I wonder if there isn't some weeds that are 'stronger' tasting this year because of this? I suppose its possible.

there's tons of suggestions on that thread on this very problem. but like cliff said, if she never made good milk, you're kinda outta luck.

What breeds are they? My nubians make great milk my saanen, not so much. I know the saanen's milk isn't bad it's just not as good as the creamier nubians' milk. How does the milk taste bad? Is it salty, goaty, oniony, bitter? Do they get minerals?
