Run away goats

I sold three goats to a family up the street on Sunday, today someone came by and said I think three of your little goats are out. I said ok but I dont think so, and I went out and checked. All mine are here. So I called the family and texted them but no response, so I got in the car and drove around, didnt see anything, went to their house, no answer. Drove around found the guy that came by and he said I got a picture, yep they were the ones I just sold. So I drove the direction he said they were going, I pass a car that slows down and he says are you looking for some little goats? I sai yes, he said I just saw them, and was coming to your house to tell you. He said do you want me to help you, I sais yes if you can, well we cant find them, I had to come back home, do you think they are trying to find their way back to their mammas? Do you think a mile away they can hear mama calling for them? I hope they are ok. I called the family again and left a message telling them that they were their goats. The little boy is going to be so upset, he has waited for these for a while now, and has been taking care and hand feeding them since Sunday.
Prayers that they are safe!

They might call the local dog pound. Our's picks up horses and goats too.
I rode a escapee horse home for them one time.

Nope I havent heard anything yet, I am not sure what to do. SInce they arent really mine anymore...??? I heard a dog behind us barking and I thought maybe they have made their way back??? But I havent been able to get down to there yet, as I have to climb fences and creek area. Waiting on husband to come back so we can investigate. I kept thinking all kinds of bad last night....predator....no water....head stuck in a fence....the highway....i made myself sick about it. I want them to go door to door and ask people to make them aware, but I cant make them go do that, and maybe they got them back last night???? I will wait a little later and try to call them again. I wonder if something bad happened or they cant find them and are afraid to tell me. I do understand things happen with animals and I am not mad at all just concerned.

I called the neighbor behind me and told her what was going on, (i bought 2 of my goats from her) and she said that someone on her street called her the day before and said they saw three little goats drinking out of a pond at the corner of the end of the street and the highway. It is not an interstate but it is 4 lane and they drive 65. So who knows where they could be now. THe man that we sold them to is making signs and I keep checking CL and the animal shelters. I think I will also post something on CL if they dont. The are so small, even though they are 6 months or sold old. I am pretty worried about them
