whats the most embarrassing moment for you?

If any of you follow my post my goats are umm... little brats who tend do things that just make me want to pull my hair out.

Today wasn't one of them days it was more I wanted to hide under a rock. When I went out to milk Addie everything was fine. Milked her and thought well its pretty nice outside so I am going to grab my MP3 player and sit under the tree and listen to my talk radio and let them browse before it gets 10000 degrees outside. I open the gate and out runs one of my girls and right to the boys pen. FLIRT FLIRT FLIRT Oh I looooooooove you Red. So I grab her and walk her back to the girls pen. She starts screaming... dying blood curdling scream. So loud it make my dogs start barking in the house. So I grab a leash and walk her out there with the other girls. She was fine browsing being a good girl. That is when I noticed our neighbors are getting a new roof put on. So I am sitting there listening to my talk radio and enjoying the morning. Keeping an eye on her I noticed she was tripping over the leash so I take it off and she takes off like a shot to Red. I am screaming "YOU HUSSY GET BACK HERE!!!" I get her back in the pen and she is screaming again. Told her to bad and walked back to my chair. I am sitting there for awhile listening to her scream when I looked up the whole crew on the roof of the neighbor is looking around wondering where that noise is coming from. Then stop and start pointing at me and talking to each other. Another guy came to work on the roof and those on the roof stopped what they were doing screaming down to the other guy something and pointing at me. I wanted to die. I yelled SHUT UP GOAT!!! I hope they heard and dont come over to see if I am dying or worse get animal control here to see if I am killing one.

That was the most embarrassed I have been when it comes to the goats. Having BooBoo depants me when his hoof got caught in my sweatpants pocket wasn't as bad as this lol

So tell me what is your most embarrassing moment ?

A few weeks ago I walked outside to move the water in a skirt and notice a goat collar laying in the pen. I bent over to get it and Jem sticks her head under my skirt as I stood up. The neighbor was standing on his back deck smoking a cigarette and found out what color my underwear were.

This is the neighbor that over sprays his yard into mine. He and his wife are disdainful of my husband's and my language. They're very proper. We say things like testicles, penis, and vulva outside where they can hear. Actually they hear things like, "Do you have both testicles in your hand? You need to hurry because I can't hold on much longer. Watch the nipples! Watch the nipples!" We were castrating a meat buck. Neighbor's jaw dropped quite a bit. He also gets to listen to me sing as I milk. Usually in pajamas. Yeah. That's probably why he over sprays my yard.

My brother was kind enough to build us a really nice goat stanchion this past spring and when he stopped over he dropped it off leaving it in the living room. This is furniture quality work so it stayed in the living room almost as a coffee table and we didn't need it for a while so there it sat.
Things accumulate and clutter happens you forget that some people just don't see a goat milking stanchions in the middle of the living room floor with a riding crop hanging off it and a pair of near by and my wifes volleyball knee pads and....I could go on but you get the idea of what my inlaws must have been thinking

LOVE IT!!!! Andabigmac I totally knew what you were doing before you said you were castrating. Non goat people must have dirty minds if they thought it was anything nasty.

A friend of mine was tending her neighbors' goats and I was over visiting. So me (9 months pregnant), my 3 year old and 1 year old go over with her and several of her kids...2 of whom are teen boys. To get there, we had to walk down a semi-busy road because I was too pregnant to jump the fence.

So while my 1 year old was petting a big pregnant sanaan another goat comes up behind me and thought to herself, "Hmmm, I think that lady looks like a grand place to rub my face against!" So she used me to scratch her itch and managed to catch her horn on a button hole on one of my pockets. She pulled mightily and tore my pant leg clean off leaving me with half a pair of pants...in January...in front of an audience and still needing to walk back along the road.

Oh and all the goats were playing keep away with what was apparently the best new toy ever.

The whole experience actually made me want to get goats of my own. lol

If I didn't have goats, this would make my eyebrows go up too! As it is, I don't let my church friends/family visit the goats while my buck is in rut. Non goat folks just don't understand.

"Usually in pajamas." Yep, pajamas and barn boots! I make my husband smile. He says I'm the sexiest milk maid ever! Which makes me smile.
