Were getting a nice rain this morning! Been praying for rain for all of us since I was worried about all of our fields & crops so I sure hope you all get some water from the sky soon too!

Glad to hear we're getting rain in some part of the state! We've only had ONE decent rain in the past 2 1/2 months...very unusual for this part of the state. We see clouds and hear thunder but it is always to the north or south of us! The crops around here are doing very poorly and we can barely water the garden enough to keep up with this dry heat. We just got hay last week and our hay guy only got half of what he normally gets from his field. It is so dry that the hay was ready to be baled less than 24 hours after cutting it, and it is almost too dry!

I am really worried about the 4th of July with how dry and brown everything is....hoping that people have the good sense to not set off fireworks because I can see it leading to a real disaster under the right circumstances.

Yeah! *fist pump*
Not to seem selfish but if you could pray for just enough rain to put all of the fires out in the west we'd appreciate it. Or maybe we could just shame the west into following Michigan's example. Your older brother Michigan can make rain why can't you?

I'm keeping all of you in the west in my thoughts & hoping you get rain soon!

In Indy, personal fireworks are banned, due to the drought. So quiet this week I don't recognize my town...not that I'm complaining. Rain would be a big relief!

It's really dry here in SC MO. Even though there were VERY localized showers, most of us are still parched.

I pity the corn and hay farmers. There's no way anyone's getting a second cutting, and the corn is so dry, you could slice meat with the edge of the leaves.

I thought Indiana had some major storms come through? Must have been a different part of the state darn it!

It's going to be bad for farmers crops everywhere even if everyone does start getting rain they've probably already lost so much. I feel bad for them & we'll all be paying for it later as well.
I sure hope you all start getting some kind of rain, at this point any amount is better than none.

We get hay from our property from the 2nd cutting but it's been so dry not sure how good it will be this year.

I'm so tickled for you!!! Hey, prayers do work. We got 3-4 inches last weekend. It was really a life saver for the crops, pastures and livestock here. The temps are to the moon, but I'd hate to think what shape we'd be in if we hadn't gotten that rain.

I truly hope everyone gets a healthy shot of rain soon.

Someone told us the other day, "It's never NOT rained."

And a brother in Christ said that it will rain.

Of course, I am like a little kid: "WHEN? Huh, when? When is it going to rain? Is it going to rain now? How about now?"
