Some of the girls went to the beauty parlor today...

and had a nice visit with their hairdresser. Today they didn't have time to have their udders trimmed. Their hairdresser was new and somewhat inexperienced.

Here are a few pics:

Pepper before and after:

Taela (I forgot to get a before - she is the first goat I ever shaved on my own):

Beautiful OBF Almond Joy (she is dh's favorite goat - he hasn't seen her since she was coiffed - I hope he likes her "new 'do"):

And just for fun, here is Snow's Silver Skipper after getting a manicure and having a copper bolus shoved down his throat - he is a sweetie and forgave me quickly:

On his way back to the boy's dorm, he decided to visit the matrons in their yard.... Can you guess which girl is his momma?

Just for the fun of it, I figured I would add these:

When we coppered early in the year, we ran out of copper before Joy got her dose. I mailed a check without thinking about the delay it would cause and Joy got very deficient before we received our copper. Here is a pic from today, when she has plenty of copper and a few pics of her when she was first bolused in March. I gave her a "booster" bolus when the other girls received their scheduled dose at the first of May.

Thanks, Ranger & NZW Tom.

Sorry Ranger, Dh would disown me if Joyous or Skipper went to play anywhere else - he sort of likes both of them! (Me, too!)

I will be picking her up immediately to come live at my house so she never has to be neglected again!
Boy I wish I owned all of them. They are so beautiful. I'm getting earless envy in a bad way.

ROFLOL! She did look pretty bad, didn't she? I learned my lesson about getting low on copper!

Thanks! I really love my girls! It is nice to get compliments on them.

They all look so nice. Boy Joy sure turned out nice didn't she? She looks so much like her Aunt Missy. I will try and get some pics of my newly shaved girls up, although Bella could look better. The stupid clippers didn't want to stay running and I had to hold the cord just right.

Well, last year OBF & Prairiedog showed me how to clip and then my friend Ruthie helped me clip for the fair - so Taela this year was the first time I had ever clipped a goat by myself. When I got to her head, I slipped and off came the ears. I liked that look so much, I clipped Pepper and Joyous the same way. Very sleek looking and sophisticated, don't you agree?

Joyous really is gorgeous. Ruthie wanted to buy her last year and I told her no way. I am very excited to see how she does at the fair this year.

Bella is always beautiful! She is so well cared for, how could she be otherwise?
