Have you dewormed her?

Has she had any Cocci treatment or prevention?

What is she eating? Does she have hay available?

How long has she had diarrhea?

She was dewormed before we bought her a couple weeks ago. She has hay available always. I think this is her second day with the runs.

Haven't taken her temp...do you need a special thermometer?

Goat Diarrhea (Scours) | Desert Viking Ranch
this article helped me a bit when my billy goat got diarrhea right after we got him. I was so clueless on what/how to feed and ended up giving WAY too much grain feed and he started with green diarrhea everywhere. I took him off the grain, gave him hay and some pepto like the other person said and he was fine the next day. I especially like in the article how it breaks it down by color, i thought that was helpful. anyway, it could be a starting troubleshooting point.

Any chance she has been on wet pasture or maybe extra lush pasture that she is not used to?

If she were mine I would give 5cc Oral Neomycin with 10cc Pepto. If it is a bacterial thing, it will knock it. I would NEVER be without Oral Neomycin, it is up there in my book with C&D Antitoxin!

I would follow the next day with probios paste.

Do you know what she was dewormed with?

If she were mine, I would deworm her again myself with Ivermectin or Cydectin. Unless I physically saw them deworm her myself(and saw what and how much they gave her) I start all my animals off on a blank slate when they get here.

I would deworm her with Ivermectin or Cydectin. Also I would run her through a round of Albon.

Not bad mouthing previous owners, but all dewormers are not equal and the stress of a move can boost parasite populations. If she hasn't had a change in diet(pasture, hay, or grain) I would believe it was parasites from the stress of the move.

Most feed stores carry a Pepto-like product (it's even pink!) that's a whole lot cheaper than people Pepto. It comes in a pretty big bottle but I can't remember the product name at the moment.

Obviously, if you can't get to a feed store, regular Pepto is fine.

No. Do you not have any syringes?

Ok, I knew that one cc did not equal one teaspoon, but I wasn't sure how many did, so I just checked with a syringe and a measuring spoon and I came up with:

5 cc's = one teaspoon.

Dosing a goat with a syringe is a whole lot easier than trying to use a spoon, IMO.
