I want to know what they are thinking

Here in Missouri, my goats are visible most of the time unless they are out in the hay meadow or on the edge of the woods. Right now, Orange - Alpine herd queen - is standing between the hay feeder and the regular feeder. She is obviously deep in thought. Her doiling and the new buckling are cavorting nearby. She is very still, not looking at them, apparently just meditating. I want to know what she's thinking.

Cassie, the tricolor Mini Mancha, spends HOURS on the top level of the playscape. She is the "watch goat" who keeps an eye out for sabre tooth tigers, but what occupies her mind during those looooong stretches in the sun?

Life is good. I have people and they are trained well. I have given them purpose and now I bask in the sunshine of my efforts.
