Unhappy Help! Goat with diarrhea

My month old Nigerian Dwarf goat, Snickers has had yellowish, greenish diarrhea all day. It smells really bad and he is acting weak and is not drinking as much whole milk (he is a bottle-baby) as he used to. I have given him Electrolytes and 2 and a half ml of Corid liquid. What else can I do to help him?

Sounds like cocci to me. Have you started him on his cocci prevention?

Sounds like cocci to me. Doing a fecal can tell you a lot. I don't use CoRid because it can upset the balance of thiamine. I use DiMethox for treatment and Deccox M for preventative.

Corid does NOT upset the balance of Thiamine in the GOAT. It disables the ability of the coccidia protozoa to process thiamine.

OK. You did good. If you have some Kaopectate, give him a few cc's of that.

He should get better within a day or two.
