Breeding Savanna with Nubians to get more resistence?

I'm thinking that breeding a Savanna buck with my Nubian does would make a more disease hardy dairy goat.

Is this a good idea? Has anyone tried it? Your input would appreciated.

Thanks,
Sandra

in theory it could work, but you would loose milk production especially in the F1 cross and have to breed back to Nubian to gain it back, and also savanna goats were from africa on the savana, they are suited for that environment, your in VA right? thats a bit of a big differince in climat, environment, etc. alot of times when a specialized breed like that is taken out of its environment it doesnt do as well in a vastly differint one, but then again you may like the results
