Wink Isis Had her baby.

Well, Stayed up with her till midnight last night. She seemed fine. I didn't seem fine. I had this weird feeling that something wasn't right. The baby's were moving, looked good, but than one and I don't know why I said it but I said "I hope thats not death throws". Weird I know. So she was fine this morning, again thinking something wasn't right, and went to work for an hour. Came back and her bag was coming out of her. Woo Hoo I said. She isn't pushing. Why isn't she pushing??? Called a friend and she said the kid is stuck get in there and UN stuck it. Well, after about half hour I finally got the baby out. WAY TO BIG. She was a doeling. 10 pounds. One Leg was stuck behind her. Her head was bigger than my hand. We examined her and tried to bring her back thinking it just happened and than we looked at the fluid that was on the ground. She already was released from the placenta. She already had her first bowel movement in the uterus. I just cried. Isis must have known it was dead, she wouldn't smell of it. She walked away. After about ten minutes working on baby Isis laid down to have the other one. Normal position. All the wile Isis was great. I panicked the hole time because I have know idea what I am looking for wile trying to find the leg of baby. She kept licking my face, licking my husband. I am proud of her. The second one is a doeling 5 pounds. She has her mothers look when she was a baby but her dad's color. I will post pictures later. I am giving Isis a chance to rest. I gave her probioson(sp) thinking that might help her. She got some of her shots today. My friend came over and helped with all of it. She was roomy in there. She is doing great with the baby. She is happy. She thought that one was dead until I pushed her over to it and made it make a noise. Than Isis made a noise back and started cleaning her off.
I checked her teats, Isis still had first milk in both of them. The left side had a lot more, so I made baby has been sucking on that side a lot today. There is my rant, I am still upset I couldn't help the first little girl, but If I didn't get that feeling about all this , I might have lost all three. Isis was a bottle baby so she is really close to our hearts. I am happy she is doing great so far. I will post pictures tomorrow. I want to give her a chance to bond and rest.

I'm glad that you were able to save the second doeling. You'll have to share pics of your little survivor and the proud momma.

What an ordeal! I'm glad that mom and surviving kids are doing well. You were a trooper. I hope I do that well if I ever have a difficult delivery to face.

She wasn't supposed to be a keeper. I don't have anything to breed her to. And, My mother has already named her, My girlfriend wants to breed her to her Nubian, just to see if she will produce a bigger baby with a smaller baby. She if its hereditary. When Isis and April were born, we came home from work that day, found them out of the pen. April screaming, Isis just chewing her cud, if she was even able to. Picked them both up and Isis was at least 10 pounds and April 5 pounds. Isis looked like a boy. I will have to show pictures of her later as a baby. She was huge. I couldn't hold her in one arm, because she was so heavy. I dont know what I am going to do.
