My "Flying-Sperm" baby - pics

Is a DOELING

I bought this yearling Nigerian doe about 2 months ago supposedly open.

She started putting on a little udder about 3+ weeks ago. Seller was not able to give me a due-date but thought based on the one time the buck got loose that she could be due the 3rd week of June...guessing they had a secret rondevous earlier then that

Last evening I thought her ligs were starting to soften but her udder did not feel strutted & normally my does like to start softening 1-2 weeks before kidding. This morning I was in the middle of haying horses and heard a distressed yell from the goat pen. Vivianna had her baby's head hanging out and the other goats were messing with her. I rushed over right as baby fell out. I moved them on outside the main pen and then let them bond a bit before moving them to the barn.

She looks like she is wearing make-up so I'm trying to decide between the names Maybelline & Blush.

she is supposed to be registerable. The seller told me she would send me the needed paperwork.

I can't name her Mary Kay because my name is Kay

I think I will probably go with Maybeline but am waiting for my hubby to get home & give his opinion.

We settled on the name Blush. Realized we have a rabbit named Mable & a calf named Mullberry. Maybeline would have made one too many recent M names. I might use Cover Girl in her registered name.

She is my first purebred Nigerian baby & I am totally smitten
