C & D Antitoxin...I can't find it

I really need to have some on hand and nobody has it locally. It seems to be out of stock wherever I find it on line.

Does anyone know where I might find it?

TIA

Have you tried your local mom & pop feed stores & TSC usually has it as well but if everyone's out still it may be hard to get a hold of. I bought a bottle from my vet so maybe if you check with a vet they will sell it to you. It is not Prescription.

I ended up ordering from Jeffer's since our TSC has been out for a long time.

Look for --clostridium perfringens types C and D antitoxin. I called everywhere when I had a goat down and no one had CDT. They didnt know to look for this, same stuff--just by another name. Walked into Del's (western states' TSC) a day later and they had several bottles!

Nobody has it locally and we have several farm supplies in the general area. I'm going to try again using cayenne47's suggestion.

I don't think I'll have any luck with the vet either. When it comes to goats here, you are pretty much on your own.

I tried Jeffers but they are out of stock too.

Thanks for the feedback!

Just on Jeffers and they have it. Look under livestock, then sheep and goats. They actually have several brands of the same on different pages.

If you click on the product(s) they both say on "Indefinite Backorder".

Big R told me that they have been told it is about 6 months out from being available again, so grab some while you can!

I've looked every place on line I can think of with no luck. Hopefully everyone will stay healthy!

Three new additions to our tiny herd has made me more paranoid than ever! They are all out browsing a lot now and you just never know what they might get into.

Edited to add: I've even stumbled upon some industrial suppliers and they are out.

Get some activated charcoal. You can purchase it at the health food store.

If an animal eats too much grain or too rich of browse, feed it charcoal mixed with water. (capsules can be dropped in and swallowed, but take longer as the gel cap has to "melt" before the charcoal is released). The charcoal absorbs all of the toxins in the gut.

Thera-bloat is good to have on hand for frothy bloat.
