Question??

I am selling a few of my adult does' this year to make room for the registered mini nubians we are getting.

I have 1 lady that would like 1 of my nigerian does' but she's still pregnant & due June 23rd.
I don't usually sell any of my adults so I'm not sure if it would be safe for her to be moved now or should I just tell her she has to wait until a couple weeks after she kids & take momma & babies?

Not sure I feel comfortable selling her now or when the babies are only a couple weeks old. She's coming this afternoon after her daughter gets out of school.
I don't like selling my adults since I get too attached so anytime may not be a good time in my mind!

What would you all do?

I wanted to add that these people raised goats for many years, have a few horses, chickens, rabbits, & she was a 4H leader too.

I'd move her now. No reason to hold on to her, especially with such experienced goat owners.

Thanks Guys, I just needed some reassurance I think. She's on her way here to see the goats & decide which one's she wants for sure.

I'm not used to selling any of my adult goats so this all makes me a little nervous but I can't keep all these & the new registered mini nubians too. Just too many then.

Well I just wanted to update. The lady bought 5 of my goats including the pregnant nigie but she is going to wait until she kids since 3 of the other goats she bought were adult does' too but they all have kids on them now & I have deposits on all the kids with them form 2 other families. So she's waiting until the other does' kids are weaned before picking them up.

I'm so happy that it sounds like they will have a good home & so many are going to stay together since this lady & her grown daughter are starting a new little herd now.

Only 1 buckling & 1 adult doe left to sell.
Pony and Jyllie63 like this.
