Craigs List score!

Went and picked up six FREE homemade insulated small dog houses yesterday! A little rough- a few need new roofs and all need a coat of paint but will be perfect Pygmy goat houses!
Now if it would stop snowing (UGH!) I could go out and start working on them!

I was thinking the same thing . We're hitting 90 degrees and it's awful.

I wish I could find deals like that!

She's in Montana it is not uncommon for it to snow in June or even July sometimes. The weather can change up there so fast it's incredible. In Montana you prepared for snow, storms and heat all the time because you never know what your going to get.

Yep, snowing...... Got an inch sticking on the ground which is a record for this date. We were over 90 degrees about a week ago. It's never dull!
I really can't complain though as last year at this time this whole area was under water due to epic flooding. Our place is 12 miles out of town on high ground but with all the roads washed out it was an 80 mile drive to get here- we weren't living on the property yet but all the critters were here.
These goat houses are really cool- they have a double door set-up. There's the main entry and then a smaller door in a perpendicular interior wall so they will be totally sheltered from the wind and weather. I don't know if I explained that well but it is really neat!

New item added to my never to do list: Move to Montana! I don't care how many free dog houses they give out!

Sounds like a real find you got there in your new Pygmy houses & I'm sure they'll come in handy for all those little goats!
I wish it wasn't snowing though, you poor thing & all of us planting flowers & veggie gardens now if we haven't already but you.

Thanks for the sympathy!
I did finally start some seeds last week for my meager garden... Don't have the big fenced goat-proof garden area ready for this year's planting so will be growing what I can in pots on the screened porch. The goats can just look up at them and drool... Hee hee!!!
