Speckled Alder for Goats

HI,

I'm new here...Been lurking with the dream of oneday having a farm and some goats. So thats my warning....many dumb questions soon to follow

For starters, we have 43 acres of speckled alder...or tag alder its called. Its thick...so much that its difficult to walk thru if at all.

Do you think the goats would eat it? I'm hoping to get 4 goats....and contain them in a couple of acres of this at a time.

Sound like I'm on the right track??

(Im just dreaming of what it would be like

My goats have never been exposed to as much alder as you are have (here it's red alder and a common alder) but they happily eat whatever of it they can.
I'd check around locally though as your kind may have something toxic in it.
