Two at least, probably 3 -- and we should all hope for bucklings, because that way we know there'll be doelings!

Smell her head? What does that mean? She smells like a goat. Alice did you drop some of your marbles today?

Sometimes if the does' head smells bucky then she will most likely have boys.

This really is something folks do. My ND, Penny is due at the end of the month, I am going to go smell her head and report back. Then we shall see when she kids...

Creamers, I think you should go smell Candy's head and do the same.

This is hardly even strange compared to some of the things we do as goat moms!

Now if this works, I will have to remember it. LOL Can you see all of us out there snorting our does heads when it comes close to time?
And they wonder why we are called the crazy goat people?
But you never know, it might be true. Testosterone and all.

First..I just want to commend you on marvelous looking goats. I didn't see one of them that I wouldn't love to have in my pasture.

The head smellers are right..if they smell bucky between the horns..there's a boy in the oven. Doesn't mean they are all boys..but there's at least one there. I don't think that has been proven wrong on this homestead yet. Best of luck with your beauty girl!!

Ok, Penny has no bucky smell. Just nice doe smell. I just hope she has an easy birth! I wish there was a smell for that!

I did this last year, but can't find the thread and can't remember how she smelled, but she had twin bucks.

I would refused to smell a buck smell and would declare it smelled like a doe on the principle of the matter - lol!!!

I've had 9 bucks to one doe, you can all understand my need for does and doe smells.

I'm thinking maybe I wrote her due date down wrong - no signs of immanent kidding.

Sheesh.....she's so much bigger that my doe was - and she had two good-sized babies in her.

Here's hoping for a fast and easy delivery for her - maybe with four healthy little girls.......

And soon.
