Silly girls

Since Popcorn kidded Easter week I kept thinking that is so weird that she doesn't have any milk and her kids are always hungry. Yesterday I come home to Butter litteraly dripping milk out and there is Popcorn nursing all 4 kids two of which don't belong to her! She seriously needs 4 teats! Her teats are cut up and shredded but she just keeps at it. When separated Popcorn FF is giving over a gallon a day! Now why did I sell her doeling? Oh ya because I thought her mom wasn't a good milker. DOH! And just to make it worse Popcorn has GREAT teats unlike Butter who has Nigerian teats. When will I learn when I am dealing with goats it's opposite day.

You've just been bamboozeled by yer goats again. You've come to the right place for empathy.

She is also a dream to milk. I don't have to put her in a stand or even tie her up I can literally walk out in the field with a bucket and she will happily stand there. which is why I want to cry that the dang kids are getting all of it. Of course the pain in the butt goat is the one that runs from the kids and me. Today I decided I am going to clicker train mrs PIB (pain in butt) to stand for milking. If not who's coming for BBQ?

Popcorn actually let my 3yr old son milk her last night! He loves it. I may have milking help in my future that is until he realizes that it's a chore.
