Swollen Udder

I have a doe that should have kidded yesterday. Her udder is red and leaking milk.Should I milk her out a little bit or let nature take its course?

Yes, I would milk her, maybe just halfway out and save the colostrum back.

If it's red and hot, take a clean sample and send it to the mastitis clinic. See sticky at the top of this board for instructions.

A judge once told me at a show that if your doe is over bagged and leaking milk 1 small dixie cup out and that will usually stop the leaking.
