Oh those poor goaties.......

Yesterday, the girls were due for their trims, the vet said I needed to give them all a Bo Se shot and it was copper bolus day. I couldn't face it yesterday but made myself do it today.
So the poor things got lined up along the fence and I trimmed then bolused then wormed then gave them their shot. Poor Timmie got the extra of her zinc drench.
I am always amazed at how forgiving they mostly are about such stuff. By the time I took off their collars, they were quite willing to stand for scratches.
I, on the other hand, plan to relax the rest of the day. I hate to do "stuff" that my animals don't like- yup, I need a piece of chocolate to recover. Right now..........

That is usually how it goes here on bolus day. They take their turns getting bo-se, copper, and a hoof trim. Bella always has to be melodramatic about getting her shot.

I know exactly what you mean. They don't like having it done so I don't like doing it. And most of the time very forgiving...except Frankie when I cut his dew claw too short. He was ticked for the rest of the day...

Frankie does look rather ticked off in that picture!

I don't know how you trim all their hooves in the same day. The shots, worming, etc. doesn't bother me all at the same time but the hoof trimming is murder on my back.
Hubby made me a milkstand, had to add a step on the end so the little one's could get up there but at least I won't be all hunched over doing hooves & I may decide to milk a goat or 2 someday too.

It went pretty easily except for Belly- I bolused her and walked back to get the shot when I saw the bolus make a return trip through the fence into long grass. I told her how expensive these things were and could she please hang onto the next one? I think she did.
