New Goat

We raise katahdin sheep, but have ben looking at starting with some goats, we already have a 8mo old pygmy.

Today we received a pygmy, from the Humane society, which found it walking the streets, in the city.

"Lola" looks pretty good shape, just a bit thin and needs hooves trimmed. Any way to tell about how old she is? Her horns are about twice the length of the 8 mo old.

I have her penned separately, but was wondering how long to quauranteen what else should I do before releasing her with the others.

You can tell by her teeth pretty much hmmm think thats up to 3 yrs then after that its an estimate.
You will hear to keep her separated up to 6 months what you will be looking for is CL lumps and you should get her CAE tested, and have a fecal done to see what worms she maybe carrying.
