Does takes cracker, scapes off peanut butter

I have to give Timmie zinc for awhile. I started out with the same ol' method of mixing the med powder in molassas, add water and suck it into a syringe to administer.
But it gets old chasing down the doe each morning, so I thought I'd try the cracker thing even though Timmie is Very, very, very fussy about what she eats.
It took several dropped crackers, but when the other goats grabbed them practically out of her mouth, she tried them and liked them.
Hooray- she'll eat them!!!!!
So I got some peanut butter and mixed the zinc into it and spread it on the cracker.
When she finally deigned to try it (again after they were grabbed by the others,) she took it with her lips, gradually pulled the cracker into her mouth, scapping off the peanut butter with her upper lip as she pulled it in, then let the peanut butter fall to the ground.
Aaarrrghhhh.......... Back to the morning rodeo.

Yes, they don't like it if the peanut butter is too thick. I use two crackers, with the peanut butter sandwiched between, but still I have to fix two per goat so they aren't overloaded with peanut butter.

I give mine the pre-made mini peanut butter crackers. They are about the size of a nickle. If I'm trying to slip them something along with the crackers, I take them apart, put whatever I need to in there, and put them back together. It takes quite a few crackers to give them a dose of anything, but they don't seem to mind... especially Cookie...shes' a pig.

I tried the sandwich cracker thing but after the first cracker, she wouldn't take anything.
Isn't there a pill pocket for goats? Isn't there something no goat can refuse?

Banana slices work, too.

You really need to get them used to whatever it is without doses of icky stuff in them first. Mine get peanut butter sandwich crackers every day for a treat.

Yeah I did hurry the cracker thing. Unfortunately for me I used up the crackers in feeding them to the other goats and her dropping them (and a few for me too.) It'll be a week before I head to town again.
This morning she was pretty half hearted about her running away- just one circuit and a half of the paddock before she let me put the collar on.
I'll try bananas. Thanks.
BTW my vet said there is a time release bolus for zinc that they can order from the UK if the zinc fixes the problem.

Raisins, my goats will eat anything if it is blended with raisins.

Well I've got some bread, raisins and bananas. I going to try just plain bread this morning. If that works, I'll add some banana mash on the bread- if that doesn't work, I'll try raisins on the bread. I suppose I could try raisin mash next. By the time I finish, I will have found a way or have run out the 4 week dosing schedule.

Bread's out. Even with the other goats almost knocking me over to get it, Tim acted like it was an insult to even waive it in her direction. Sigh............
On the good , she seems to have decided that once around the paddock will be good enough training for me. She then stops and allows me to catch her.
