preemie mom mandy

she's still only giving a pint or so, morning and again at night. the buckling from the smaller doe usually has her emptied by night tho. she's been fresh for a month, but had that hard birth with resulting dead preemies.

yesterday was the first morning I bothered to have the kids locked off overnight, as I was getting more than enough milk before. now they are taking enough that I was needing to do that. the 2 small does are amazing! nilla, the ober cross, had almost a full gallon! she had a hard time hefting her udder up onto the stand! nora, the small saanen, did almost as well. both are 2nd timers. so happy with them! they are a bit less than a month fresh now.

so with this amt. I will not have need for any mroe milk. I am thinking to simply not bother with mandy, this year. for such a small amt., and I dont' need it. then just feed her grass hay as she looks like she's getting a bit pudgy. I've cut her noble pellets and give her beet pulp, and that didn't change anything. also coppered her, as her shaved hair now looks like the longer hairs are sticking out like catcus prickles.

I have a wether I can put with her, would this be the way to handle this? or would she be one to cull????
