She's here....oh, Rechelle....

Snowflake (whom I purchased, along with her daughter Flurry, from Rechelle) gave birth Thursday morning to one large doeling (I had to pull her). She is out of Luvs2farm's nubian buck. I named her Snowpile, for my best friend who recently passed away. She could never remember Snowflake's name and called her Snowpile instead

Thanks y'all. We're rather pleased with her. She'll be retained and join her mama and big sister in the my small milking line up

Snubian? She's beautiful. We got two Snubian doelings this year, and they are growing so well.

Yup, Snubian
Thanks.

She is a pretty laid back little girl. She's most fond of butt scritches. You can 'paralyze' her mom by making a tunnel of your thumb and forefinger and rubbing alongside her spine. Time will tell if Snowpile is that way too

What a beautiful girl! Congratulations!

I have an almost year-old Samancha out of my Lamancha doe. She, too, was a single big baby.

I had my Lamancha bred to the same Saanen buck again and she is due May 20.

I'm looking forward to breeding my Samancha yearling this next breeding season; her mom's been a good little milker, with a great temperament, and the buck is from a dairy, so he has been bred for production, as well as show quality. I'm anxious to see how the cross does as a family milker.

I would love to find a well-bred Samancha buck when the time come, but I know that's not likely, so will go with either a Lamancha or Saanen buck - probably Saanen because I am partial to them.
