5 day old with cough

Our bottle baby has went from sounding congested when he drinks to soundind somewhat congested all the time. He is coughing some and sneezing up snot. We are keeping him in the house, so he is warm. Is there anything we can do to help him breath more comfortably? Don't want him to get pnomonia if we can avoid it.

Most likely he is drinking too fast and aspirated some milk. Try using a bottle with a slightly smaller hole in the nipple. Make sure his head is elevated all the way up wham he eats. If he starts sucking super fast take his bottle out of his mouth let him catch his breath then give it back to him. Unless he aspirates a lot he should be fine just keep you eye on him. It is a common problem with all bottle baby animals. The nipples let the milk flow too fast compared to mom.
