Reburn?

I just had Mudge's girls disbudded and one of them is bleeding a bit on one side. Should I heat up my iron and give her quick little additional burn?

Nope. Spray it with Blue Kote or put some flour on it.

How about Fight Bac and some Blood Stop powder? I hope that's ok, because that's what I did.

How long ago did you burn? Did a scab come off & it started bleeding, or is it a recent disbudding that is just weeping?

If a scab came off, spray for bugs (I like Blue Kote) & just keep an eye on it..... If it's weeping, and no scab came off, I'd hit it again with the iron.

I posted as soon as we got home from getting them disbudded. She did a complete burn down to the skull...the entire thing (not just a ring) was white...she popped off the buds when she did the job.

P.S. Alice, does my almost constant improper use of ellipses drive you batty?!?!?

No, it doesn't bother me. I use them to replicate dramatic pauses.

Well, at least that is one of their intended uses...I use them instead of starting a new sentence! When I'm writing, I misuse dashes instead.
