Meet Ellen

My newest addition, Ellen. She is a 2 year old alpine, 12 days fresh and giving about 6 quarts per day on her first lactation. This photo does not do her justice at all, it is impossible to take a decent photo without someone to hold her still (photo was taken after milking)! Hopefully better photos coming soon...

Thank you! To top it off she's got the sweetest personality ever. She needs some copper (her coat is browning in some places) but other than that she seems to be in excellent condition. The farm that she came from had a great looking herd.

Alpines are not "my breed" but she is a very striking animal! I have LaManchas that color....very nice!
