Might be in the market for a new buck

OK up until now I have simply kept a buckling from one of my milkers. Usually from one of the best milkers. While I have been happy with his offspring I think it is time for some new blood.
Problem is I am not sure how to go about it.
What am I really looking for? What questions do I ask? Who do I look at?
His dam's milk production?
I do not care which breed alpine, Nubian, Sanaan, Togg. I want a buck who throws girls with a lot of milk.
Any bit of education on this would be appreciated.
